About Aurelia
If you have any questions about the rules, feel free to contact one of the officers. We would be happy to help you understand them! :)

Out of Character Rules

These rules are always subject to improvements, additions or changes as you never really know what it is that can happen that would bring cause for evolution. It is best to make sure, as a responsible guild member, to keep yourself up to date with these rules. Ignorance does not excuse you if you break one.

That being said, if you do break a rule, verbal warnings will be given (i.e. being told to stop is a warning in itself). Repeatedly breaking rules will result in a removal from the guild.

  1. Godmodding, Powermodding, and Metagaming are in no way, shape, or form allowed within this guild.
  2. - Godmodding is when you assume control of another person's character without their consent. This includes killing players without consent as well. Powermodding is when your character is so powerful that no mere mortal could possibly hurt it. Sorry but we’re not gods. Metagaming is taking OOC knowledge into IC scenarios. Just because you know about something doesn’t mean your character does. The best way to avoid these things is to think how you would feel if any of these were done to you. Always ask “Would I like it of someone did this to me?”
  3. You must have an RP addon (MRP, XRP, or TRP3) in order to join the guild.
  4. Please be kind and respectful toward not only your guild mates but those outside of the guild as well.
  5. - There are so many scenarios that this rule fits into. Harassment, trolling, griefing, racial and ethnic slurs, stalking, disrespect, rudeness; these are all things that apply to this rule (and there are even more that aren't listed) and none of them should be coming from any of our members. There is no tolerance for any of these things. If any of this is confusing to you then there are two rules of thumb you should follow: Treat others how you expect to be treated and when it comes between being right or being nice, always chose being nice. That said, if you feel you are a victim of any of these issues either from someone within the guild or someone outside of the guild, please screenshot the conversation or action and inform one of the officers. We will always ask for screenshots before we confront the situation. If you do not know how to screenshot a conversation, in game you just press the Print Screen key to the right of F12. You can also download a program called gyazo. The addon Elephant also keeps track of conversations you’ve had in the past.
  6. In Character actions beget In Character reactions.
  7. - If your character gets in trouble with the law, disobey an order, or anything that would require any sort of punishment, we keep it IC. Never think that a punishment on a character is a punishment on a player. IC =/= OOC and OOC =/= IC.
  8. Keep ERP out of Public Channels.
  9. - If you frequently ERP, we don’t judge. Just keep it in party chat and never go to Goldshire on a character that is in our guild. People will see the guild tag and associate the guild as a whole with such things.
  10. We only recruit level 20+ characters and 65+ for DK's as we use all sorts of zones in WoW to use for DM Events.
  11. - This is extended for Allied races too.
  12. Keep OOC in public channels to a minimum. If you need to discuss something, bring it to whispers.
  13. - Cathedral District often gets flooded with a lot of OOC shenanigans which disrupts a lot of peoples RP experience. Please do your best to not add to the shenanigans. This also extends to other areas in the game.
  14. Game Mechanics =/= Role Play. Use common sense. Please do not link skills in /s or /e.
  15. - If someone has a question regarding a move they will ask for clarification and you can whisper them the reference.

Discord Rules

The guild does have a Discord server. The rules for it are as follows:

  1. Be respectful of your fellow guildmates or any guests outside of the guild. If they ask you to stop talking about a certain topic, stop.
  2. Each of the channels have their own rules in the descriptions of each channel. The descriptions are located at the top of your Discord window. Follow the rules laid out in each channel and everything will be square!
  3. Please do not make any obscene noises or annoyances in voice chat. (ex. no screaming into the microphone, use push to talk if backround noise triggers your mic often, etc etc.)
  4. New members: Go to the #roles channel and assign yourself the role corrisponding to which game you joined on. Once that is done, head over to the #warcraft-guild-rules-and-resources channel and check out our guild rules, D10 System links, wiki links, and more.
  5. Most importantly, have fun!
